Saeed Farahani
Born in 1980 in Tehran, Saeed Farahani enrolled Artschool of broadcasting in 1996 and studied Graphic Design, led him to costume design in several TV productions. He then enrolled BA of Graphic Design at university, but dropped out after two years and began to experience and evaluate different techniques in Visual Arts between 2002-2008.
Farahani's first neon-art exhibition was held at Haft Samar Gallery in October 2010, with supportive encouragement of Ms. Lila Samari, and honorable presence of Dr. Alireza Samie' Azar the former director of Tehran museum of contemporary art. Some of his neon-art works are inspired of and dedicated to the modern art masters Piet Mondrian and Mark Rothko and also he has nominated a few works for Amir Naderi (Iranian film director), Morteza Hannaneh (Iranian composer) and Farhad Mehrad (Iranian singer), some artworks are inspired based on three colors of national flag of Iran. Afterwards, he exhibited his neon-art works at various occasions such as Tehran Sculpture Expo in summer 2011. Sellling in Modern and Contemporary Iranian, Arab and Turkish Christie's Art Auction on 2012, was another great achievement of Farahani.
In march 2013, at the invitation of Ms. Shirin Partovi, manager of Shirin Gallery he attended LIGHT Exhibition. The second Exhibition of his, held at Etemad Gallery in Dubai honorable presence by Amir Etemad in Summer 2013. In spring 2015, Saeed Farahani, as an exhibitor presented some works at Shirin Gallery in Black Gold show, curated by Ms. Leila Varasteh and Ms. Vida Zaeem, nominated as first candidate for petroleum and oil concept.
Farahani individually presented also some artworks at Etemad Gallery and the last presence at this gallery was about the importance of water in Iran, blue gold; Iran my droughted homeland, in spring 2016.
